Her Sandals

Her pair of sandals
So sleek and sloppy
They look elegant,
Like honey taken by an ant
She feels so bright,
Upon wearing them alright
They makes sound 'flip flop'
As she tries to reach the Bus stop.

She's careful to watch her steps
So as not to miss her pace
Her pair of sandals
They are so shiny,
Like a ruby so glittery

As she nears the coffee shop
The weather starts to take a drop
Strangely enough, she crosses a puddle
Her sandals catches up in the muddle
But she acts like she cares no more
Takes out some tissues & cleans up whole
Then she meets her friends,
They laugh and talk about errands

Below the table as she bends
She feels her skin so strain,
She jerks her leg with lot of pain
Her pair of sandals;
Were too tight nor delight
Her toes feel death alike
As she looks at her sandals
She says 'I should have worn'-
'Those flip flops all along'.
